⁠Introduction

The Tech Video Fest is an initiative designed to encourage B.Tech students to create short
videos explaining or demonstrating a technological concept. These videos can explore topics
such as algorithms, emerging technologies, or the impact of technology on daily life. The
event provides a platform to showcase creativity, technical knowledge, and presentation
skills through a structured competition and screening event.

Objectives

  • Foster technical communication skills among B.Tech students.
  • Provide a platform for showcasing creativity in explaining tech concepts.
  • Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Recognize and reward outstanding contributions.

⁠Event Structure

Theme Selection:

  1. Broad themes such as Al, cybersecurity, data science, robotics, and more will be defined.
  2. Participants must choose a theme for their video.

Video Submission: 

  1. Students create and submit videos within the specified timeframe.
  2. Videos must adhere to content and format guidelines.

Screening Event:

  1. A public screening of selected videos will be conducted.
  2. The event will include discussions, Q&A sessions, and interactive sessions.

Evaluation & Awards:

  1. Judges will assess videos based on predefined criteria.
  2.  Winners will be announced in different award categories.

Guidelines for Participants

  •          Eligibility: Open to all B.Tech students.
  •          Video Duration: 3to5 minutes.
  •    Content Requirements: Videos must clearly explain a tech concept.
                                                        Content must be factually accurate and engaging.
            .  Format: MP4 format with 1080p resolution is recommended
  •            Submission Deadline: Participants must adhere to the deadline strictly.
  •            Originality: Videos must be original. Plagiarism will result in disqualification.

⁠Evaluation Criteria

Technical Accuracy (30%) — Correctness of the concept explained.
Creativity & Presentation (30%) — Clarity, engagement, and use of visuals.
Impact & Relevance (20%) — Practical applications and societal impact.
Production Quality (20%) — Audio-visual quality and overall appeal.

Submission Process

1.⁠ ⁠Participants register via an online form.

2.⁠ ⁠Videos are uploaded to designated cloud storage.

3.⁠ ⁠Confirmation emails are sent upon successful submission.
